Former This Morning host Fern Britton reportedly pens a deal to be part of the Celebrity Big Brother lineup.

Former This Morning host Fern Britton has reportedly signed up to take part in Celebrity Big Brother when the show returns on ITV next week.

The 66-year-old fronted the daytime show from 1999 until 2009, when she departed amid an alleged feud with co-host Phillip Schofield, who left the show himself last year in scandalous circumstances.

Since then she has hosted the talkshow Fern Britton Meets..., competed on Strictly Come Dancing and become a successful author - and now The Sun says that she will make a TV return as a CBB housemate.

A source said: "She wants to show the public a different side to her - unscripted and unapologetic.

"She has a lot of stories to tell and she won't hold back when it comes to her relationships with people like Phil.

"They don't speak anymore so there are no bridges to burn as far as she is concerned."

Producers will reportedly keep the identities of the Celebrity Big Brother housemates secret until the live launch show, which airs next Monday, March 4 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
