The Dutch government has confirmed that tickets for this year's Eurovision Song Contest will go on sale on May 8.
Having been cancelled last year due to coronavirus, the event is back on this year - albeit with a significantly reduced presence in host city Rotterdam.
Several weeks ago it emerged that Eurovision would be used as a government test case for the safe return of large audiences to live events, and now the finer details have been revealed.
The Rotterdam Ahoy arena will welcome up to 3,500 fans for the semi-finals and finals of this year's show - including each of the jury shows, friends and family shows and live broadcasts - meaning that over 30,000 fans could potentially attend a show during Eurovision week.
All attendees will be required to provide evidence of a negative coronavirus test before being allowed into the arena, but once inside the venue there will be no requirement to wear face masks or maintain social distancing.
Initial reports suggested that tickets would be available to residents of the Netherlands only, however international fans will be allowed to apply for tickets as long as they are legally allowed to enter the country.
Eurovision exec producer Sietse Bakker explained: "In any case, entry is only possible from EU/EEA countries and everyone is expected to go into home quarantine.
"In most cases, they also have to be tested again before departure and in many countries there is a quarantine obligation upon return.
"We call out for people to strictly adhere to the applicable travel advice from their own government."
Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, May 8 at 12pm CET/11am UK.
