I Kissed A Girl host Dannii Minogue reveals that she identifies "as queer".

Dannii Minogue has revealed that she identifies as "queer".

The 52-year-old popstar made the comments at the launch of new BBC Three dating show I Kissed A Girl - a spinoff from last year's I Kissed A Boy - which features lesbian and bisexual women looking for love in an idyllic setting.

Minogue, who has been dating musician Adrian Newman for the last decade, told the audience: "I identify as queer in a weird way."

Of the new show, she continued: "This is so important. There hasn't been a show for the girls in the reality gay dating world.

"It's like we need this to happen. I'm hoping that there are parties up and down the country.

"I want this to go well, obviously. Everybody's put everything on the line.

"I hope there are more series of this show, and more girls get the opportunity to have this experience."

New episodes of I Kissed A Girl are released on BBC iPlayer every Sunday.
