Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette reportedly wants to see out his contract at the Emirates, which is due to expire next year, after speculation of an exit this summer.

Alexandre Lacazette has reportedly decided to see out the remaining time on his Arsenal contract, which is due to expire next summer.

The Gunners were believed to be keen to offload the 30-year-old during this transfer window, with Barcelona amongst the clubs he was offered to, but the Premier League outfit have not found a suitor who can afford the striker's salary.

Arsenal also attempted to negotiate a deal with Atletico Madrid and were willing to accept £13m for Lacazette, but a move did not materialise.

Lacazette is said to have decided to remain in North London for the 2021-22 campaign, and according to football.london, he will assess his future as a free agent next summer.

The striker missed Arsenal's first two Premier League games after testing positive for coronavirus, but did make his return in the EFL Cup before coming on as a substitute against Manchester City on the weekend.

Since arriving at Arsenal in 2017, Lacazette has gone on to score 66 goals in 172 appearances for the club.
