Barcelona are keen to sign Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer this summer, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly keen to sign Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer.

The Frenchman has been a vital player for the Gunners during the 2021-22 campaign, making 29 appearances in all competitions, contributing six goals and eight assists in the process.

Lacazette could allegedly be offered the chance to sign a new one-year deal at the Emirates Stadium with the option of a further 12 months, but he is believed to be looking for a long-term agreement.

According to Sport, Barcelona keeping a close eye on the striker's situation with the Gunners, with the Catalan club exploring the possibility of bringing him to Camp Nou.

The report claims that Lacazette is seen as an attractive signing due to his potential availability on a free transfer, with his current deal due to expire at the end of June.

The 30-year-old has made 199 appearances for Arsenal since arriving from Lyon in 2017, scoring 71 times and contributing 36 goals in the process.

Barcelona signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a free transfer from Mikel Arteta's side in January.
