Ainsley Maitland-Niles reportedly leaves Arsenal first-team training after being told to train alone, following his public post on Instagram on Monday.

Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles has reportedly been dismissed from first-team training after publicly expressing his feelings about a move away from the Emirates.

On Monday, the 24-year-old took to Instagram to complain about his gametime at Arsenal and was seemingly forcing a move away from the club, amid interest from Everton.

It is believed that Maitland-Niles informed Mikel Arteta that he wanted to focus on playing at full-back, but Calum Chambers, Cedric Soares and Nuno Tavares have all been ahead of the England international in the right-back role this season.

The Daily Mail reports that Maitland-Niles has been told to train alone after making his Instagram post, and that he walked away from a meeting with the Arsenal hierarchy confused as to why they blocked him a move to Everton.

Maitland-Niles has not started for Mikel Arteta's side this season, and has only been given a total of 48 minutes on the pitch during their first four competition fixtures.

In January, Maitland-Niles was given the opportunity to seek more gametime with a loan move to West Bromwich Albion.
