Mesut Ozil could reportedly leave Arsenal during the January transfer window.

The 31-year-old has not turned out for the Gunners since March, while he has been left out of the London club's 25-man squad for the Premier League.

Ozil's contract at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire next summer, and according to the Daily Star, the former Germany international could be on the move at the start of 2021.

The report claims that MLS outfit DC United are interested in the playmaker, who has also been left out of Arsenal's 25-man squad for the group stages of the Europa League.

Ozil is believed to collect in the region of £350,000-a-week at the club, but he has fallen firmly out of favour under Arteta, who is rebuilding the team at the Emirates Stadium.

The attacker has scored 44 times and registered 77 assists in 254 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Real Madrid in 2013.
