Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Mallorca

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Mallorca.

Barcelona will continue their 2019-20 La Liga campaign with a trip to Mallorca on March 14.

The Spanish champions suffered a 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid on March 1 but returned to winning ways on Saturday courtesy of a 1-0 success over Real Sociedad at Camp Nou.

Quique Setien's side now face another league clash before welcoming Napoli to Camp Nou for the second leg of their last-16 Champions League tie on March 22.

Ousmane Dembele

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ousmane Dembele will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign having recently undergone surgery on a hamstring injury. The France international has struggled with injuries during his time at Camp Nou and is expected to be on the sidelines for the next five months or so.


Luis Suarez

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Luis Suarez underwent an operation in January after damaging the external meniscus on his right knee. The Uruguay international is out for the foreseeable future, although it is thought that he could be available for selection before the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Mallorca)

Central midfielder Arthur was ruled out of Saturday's clash with Sociedad due to an ankle injury, and the Brazilian remains a huge doubt for the clash with Mallorca.


Sergi Roberto

Possible return date: March 22 (vs. Leganes)

Sergi Roberto has missed Barca's last two La Liga matches with a muscular problem. The Spaniard will again be absent against Mallorca but could make his return before the end of the month.
