Barcelona face the possibility of being forced to play a game behind closed doors due to their transfer dispute with Atletico Madrid over Antoine Griezmann.

Barcelona are reportedly facing the possibility of being forced to play a game behind closed doors as their transfer dispute with Atletico Madrid over Antoine Griezmann continues.

The Spanish champions confirmed the signing of the France international towards the end of July, with the club paying the attacker's £108m release clause.

Atletico, though, have insisted that a deal was agreed when Griezmann's buy-out figure was still at £180m, with the capital giants therefore demanding more money from their league rivals.

According to Goal.com, Barca could be forced to close the doors on Camp Nou for one fixture as a sanction, although it is more likely that the Catalan giants will be hit with a fine.

The report claims that the sanction could be as little as €300 (£266) as the RFEF charter does not allow for huge financial penalties given the regulations that are alleged to have been breached.

Griezmann has scored twice and registered two assists in five appearances for Ernesto Valverde's side at the start of the 2019-20 campaign.
