Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the development of Las Palmas midfielder Alberto Moleiro, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly keeping a close eye on the development of Las Palmas midfielder Alberto Moleiro with the view to making a move for the youngster in the future.

The 17-year-old, who came through the youth system at Las Palmas, made his first-team debut for La Union Deportiva in the middle of August.

Moleiro has scored once in five league appearances at the start of the 2021-22 campaign, and according to Sport, the midfielder is being closely followed by Barcelona.

The Catalan giants signed Pedri from the Canary Islanders in July 2020, and the Spaniard has become a leading player for club and country during his short time at Camp Nou.

Moleiro, who scored his first senior goal against UD Ibiza on September 11, has less than two years left to run on his current deal with Las Palmas.

Meanwhile, Ansu Fati scored on his Barcelona return on Sunday afternoon, with the 18-year-old coming off the bench to register against Levante after 10 months out with a serious knee injury.
