Blackburn Rovers striker DJ Campbell was reportedly one of six people arrested on Sunday by police in the wake of a match-fixing investigation.

The 32-year-old, who has turned out in the Premier League for Birmingham City, Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers, was held by officers from the National Crime Agency after a series of early morning raids.

The probe calls into question a yellow card he picked up in the 24th minute of Blackburn's 3-1 defeat at Ipswich Town for a challenge on Aaron Cresswell last Tuesday.

Video footage of the tackle has been sent to police for further investigation, probing the evidence uncovered during The Sun's four-month investigation.

Two non-league players were charged last week in relation to separate allegations of match-fixing.
