Real Madrid reportedly make contact with Antonio Conte to ask about the availability of the former Chelsea head coach.

Real Madrid have reportedly made contact with former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte regarding the possibility of replacing Julen Lopetegui.

The Spanish giants appointed Lopetegui as a replacement for Zinedine Zidane in the summer, but just four wins have been recorded from eight games in La Liga while the club have also suffered defeat at CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.

Real's start to the campaign has allegedly left Lopetegui fighting for his job at the Bernabeu, and according to Corriere dello Sport, Conte has been identified as a possible replacement.

Conte is currently involved in a dispute with Chelsea after the Blues ended his time at the club a year before the end of his contract, but it has been claimed that a move to a European club would not impact his chances of receiving compensation.

Real are unlikely to push through with a change until they have come through their next three games, which starts with a home clash with Levante in the league.

A meeting with Viktoria Plzen follows in the Champions League before Real travel to Camp Nou to face Barcelona in El Clasico on October 28.
