Celtic host Motherwell in Scottish League Cup as last-16 ties announced

Celtic host Motherwell and Hearts travel to face St Johnstone in two all-Premiership ties in the last 16 of the Scottish League Cup.

The draw for the last 16 of the Scottish League Cup has conjured up two all-Premiership ties as champions Celtic host Motherwell, while Hearts travel to face St Johnstone.

Rangers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle have been drawn to League One opposition in the form of Peterhead and Alloa Athletic, with Aberdeen and Partick Thistle away to Ayr United and Dundee United respectively.

Top-flight Hamilton Academical host Greenock Morton, while Championship rivals Hibernian and Queen of the South will face each other, with all ties scheduled to be played on Tuesday, August 9.
