Manchester City are reportedly one of a number of clubs who are showing an interest in Groningen defender Gabriel Gudmundsson.

Groningen defender Gabriel Gudmundsson has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester City.

The versatile left-sided player has impressed in the Eredivisie this season, contributing five assists from his 20 appearances.

Although the 21-year-old is yet to break into the Sweden squad, it appears that his performances have still caught the eye of a number of clubs.

According to Calciomercato, Premier League leaders Man City are considering whether to move for the prospect later this year.

The report claims that Juventus, Napoli, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring the situation ahead of the next transfer window.

Gudmundsson has just over 15 months left on his contract, putting Groningen in a position where they could think about cashing in on the player.
