The Manchester United first-team squad are reportedly convinced that Ole Gunnar Solskkjaer will be named as the club's permanent manager.

Manchester United's first-team squad have reportedly been left convinced that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will become the club's full-time manager.

Solskjaer was appointed on a caretaker basis in December after the departure of Jose Mourinho, and the Norwegian has gone on to put together a 14-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League.

There is every suggestion that Solskjaer will remain at Old Trafford, and according to The Telegraph, the players expect to be working under him next season.

The report hints that a permanent stay for Solskjaer would be warmly received, with the 46-year-old adopting an attacking strategy and having helped a number of players put together an excellent run of form.

United face an uphill task to remain in the Champions League, but the North-West outfit sit in fourth place in the Premier League standings ahead of Sunday's showdown with nearest rivals Arsenal.
