Chelsea are reportedly set to rival Manchester United in the race to sign Ajax forward Antony this summer.

Chelsea are reportedly set to rival Manchester United in the race to sign Ajax forward Antony this summer.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, which would see him reunite with Erik ten Hag who has left the Eredivisie champions to take the reins in Manchester.

Antony's agent is believed to be pushing for his client to move to the Red Devils and has asked for Ajax to listen to offers for the forward this summer.

However, 90min claims that United could face competition from Chelsea, as chiefs from the West London club recently held talks with the player's representatives in the UK.

The report adds that Antony is one of a number of attacking targets who Chelsea have identified, along with Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele, Manchester City's Raheem Sterling and Leeds United's Raphinha.

It is thought that Antony is valued by Ajax in excess of £40m, with the forward's contract due to expire in the summer of 2025.

Antony was a standout performer for the Dutch giants last season, scoring 12 goals and registering 10 assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
