In-demand striker Erling Braut Haaland will be sold by Borussia Dortmund in the summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, according to a report.

Borussia Dortmund reportedly have little chance of keeping hold of Erling Braut Haaland if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.

BVB director Michael Zorc stressed last week that the club will not cash in on their prized asset, even if they finish outside of the Bundesliga's top four.

However, German outlet Bild reports that Dortmund will not realistically be able to justify keeping the 20-year-old on their books if they do not receive a cash windfall that comes with competing in UEFA's elite club competition.

With Dortmund one point outside the top four with three games remaining, that could be good news for the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Haaland's contract, which runs until 2024, is believed to contain a £65m buyout clause that kicks in next summer.

Any teams interested in signing the Norway international this year, though, will likely have to hand over a nine-figure sum.
