A report claims that Manchester United see Jan Oblak's £104m release clause as excellent value for money and are tempted to move for the Atletico Madrid keeper.

Manchester United are reportedly seriously considering a move for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak to replace David de Gea.

The 26-year-old, widely considered one of the finest goalkeepers on the planet, recently signed a long-term deal with Atletico that runs through until 2023.

Oblak's latest contract contains a £104m release clause and, according to ESPN, United see that sum as excellent value for a player boasting the stats that the Slovenian does.

Since the start of the 2018-19, only Liverpool stopper Alisson Becker has kept as many clean sheets as Oblak (20) in Europe's top five leagues.

The report suggests that the 26-year-old will consider quitting the Wanda Metropolitano, despite only agreeing fresh terms two weeks ago.

United's current number one De Gea, strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, has come under fire for a string of high-profile displays in recent weeks.
