Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba reportedly phones new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri in a bid to force a summer move to Turin.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly phoned new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri in a bid to force a move to the Italian champions in this summer's transfer window.

Pogba recently admitted that he was open to leaving Old Trafford ahead of the 2019-20 campaign in search of pastures new.

Real Madrid have been strongly linked with a swoop due to the presence of Zinedine Zidane as head coach, although the France international's former club Juve are also said to be firmly in the mix.

According to Tuttosport, Pogba has personally reached out to Sarri in a bid to push through a deal, with the midfielder phoning the former Chelsea manager while on holiday.

Juve could reportedly offer Douglas Costa to United in a player-plus-cash bid for Pogba.

The 20-time English champions are said to value the 2018 World Cup winner at £150m, though, which could prove problematic.

The 26-year-old, who made 178 appearances for Juve between 2012 and 2016 before returning to United, scored 16 times and provided 11 assists for the Red Devils last term.
