Manchester United 'meet with Crystal Palace to discuss Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal'

A report claims that talks took place between Manchester United and Crystal Palace on Monday over a deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Manchester United reportedly met with Crystal Palace chiefs on Monday in an attempt to make a breakthrough in their attempt to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils are believed to have had an initial bid of £50m rejected at the weekend, made up of a £35m upfront payment and £15m in add-ons.

That falls well short of Palace's valuation, thought to be closer to the £70m mark with £50m guaranteed.

According to The Independent, United are refusing to give up in their bid to land the young right-back and they arranged a meeting with their Palace counterparts today.

Wan-Bissaka is currently away on international duty with England Under-21s and is believed to be keen on a move to Old Trafford to further his career.

United have made one signing so far this summer, landing Daniel James from Swansea City for £15m.
