Jose Mourinho dismisses Newcastle United links

Roma manager Jose Mourinho has continued to rubbish rumours linking him to the Newcastle United job, following the dismissal of Steve Bruce at St. James' Park.

After the successful takeover by the Saudi Public Investment Fund earlier in October, rumours began to swirl around Bruce's departure and the possible replacements that the Magpies could target, and the new ownership parted ways with the English manager on Wednesday after a 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the first game under their control.

Given the rumoured ambition of the new hierarchy, decorated manager Mourinho was linked with a move back to the Premier League, but he has reaffirmed his dedication to I Giallorossi, . . .
