Sven-Goran Eriksson lands new job in China

Sven-Goran Eriksson secures another job in China after being named as the new manager of second-tier side Shenzhen FC.

Sven-Goran Eriksson has been named as the new manager of Shenzhen FC, just a month after he departed Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG.

Last month, it was revealed that Eriksson had been replaced by former Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas, but he has wasted no time in securing another job.

Shenzhen - who play in the second tier in China - have decided to part ways with Clarence Seedorf after the team won just one of their final 10 games of the season.

It resulted in the Phoenix finishing in ninth place in the table, and former England coach Eriksson will now be given the task of trying to earn the club promotion to the top flight.

The Swede is taking on his 16th managerial role since first entering the dugout in 1977.
