Kylian Mbappe will reportedly not trigger the one-year extension in his Paris Saint-Germain contract, meaning Real Madrid could sign the attacker for free next summer.

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly decided against triggering the one-year extension in his current contract at Paris Saint-Germain, increasing the chances he will leave the club this summer.

The 24-year-old netted 29 goals in just 34 Ligue 1 appearances as the Parisians claimed another domestic crown in France, however the league winners were unable to earn an elusive Champions League title.

Having joined from Monaco on a permanent deal in the summer of 2018, the World Cup winner has been attracting interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs over the past few years.

According to Sky Sports News, Mbappe will not trigger the one-year extension in his current PSG deal, meaning the French club will have to sell the attacker this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.

It is believed that PSG are unwilling to let the player leave for nothing next summer, meaning a move away from Parc des Princes is now looking significantly more likely.

The report claims that Christophe Galtier's men are still hopeful that Mbappe will agree to a new contract which would commit his long-term future to the club, however La Liga giants Real Madrid are said to be a dream destination for Mbappe.
