Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper and club captain is reportedly close to agreeing on a new contract to extend his stay.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is close to agreeing to a new contract, according to a report.

The Frenchman is currently in the final six months of his contract with the team, meaning he is free to talk with European clubs if he wants.

This season the 35-year-old has featured in 18 Premier League matches as he continues to be the first-choice goalkeeper for the club.

According to Football London, Lloris is expected to sign a new deal with the club very soon, with the club captain keen to stay with Tottenham Hotspur.

Talks have officially begun between the two parties involved to tie up this contract extension, with Lloris having some modest demands that are deemed more than reasonable.

Tottenham Hotspur will be back in action on Wednesday when they face Leicester City in the Premier League.
