Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho was 'angered' by Daniel Levy's decision to pull the plug on a proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur last summer, according to a report.

Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho was reportedly left 'angered' by Daniel Levy's decision to pull the plug on a proposed switch to Tottenham Hotspur last summer.

The 27-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League ahead of the 2019-20 campaign before ultimately joining Bayern Munich on loan.

According to Sport, a deal to take Coutinho to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium had all but been agreed before Spurs chairman Levy decided to pull out at the final minute.

The report claims that the former Liverpool playmaker was so 'outraged' by the turn of events that he will not consider joining the London club in the future under any circumstances.

Coutinho has been in relatively good form for Bayern this season in terms of numbers, contributing nine goals and eight assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Chelsea and Manchester United are both allegedly keen to bring the Brazil international back to the Premier League.
