Paris Saint-Germain to step up Dele Alli pursuit?

Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino makes Tottenham Hotspur outcast Dele Alli his top transfer target for January, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing to step up their efforts to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli in January.

The 24-year-old - an unused substitute in Spurs' last three Premier League matches - continues to struggle for game time under Jose Mourinho following the resurgence of Tanguy Ndombele.

With former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino now in the hotseat at PSG, Alli has been strongly linked with a move to the French capital to reunite with the coach who oversaw his breakthrough in North London.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Pochettino has informed the powers-that-be at PSG that Alli is his priority target for the January window, and the French champions hope to wrap up a loan deal in the coming weeks.

Romano also claims that Alli himself is open to a departure from Tottenham, but chairman Daniel Levy is not prepared to sanction an exit in the wake of Giovani Lo Celso's injury.

Alli has started just one Premier League game for Spurs this term and still has three-and-a-half years left to run on his existing deal with Mourinho's side.
