Scottish League One roundup: Stranraer beat Forfar Athletic

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish League One action as Stranraer beat Forfar Athletic 4-2 to go five points clear at the top of the table.

Stranraer have beaten Forfar Athletic 4-2 in the top-of-the-table clash in Scottish League One.

Craig Malcolm and Steven Bell gave the hosts a half-time lead, before Dale Hilson pulled one back.

Malcolm's second seemed to have wrapped the game up, but Gavin Malin gave Forfar hope with a strike in added time.

However, Forfar's hopes of rescuing a draw were extinguished when Jackson Longridge scored Stranraer's fourth shortly after.

Greenock Morton have gone ahead of Forfar in the table after a 3-2 win away at Stenhousemuir, with Ross Caldwell's goal proving to be decisive.

Brechin City won their fourth game in a row against Ayr United, after Paul McLean and Robert Thomson helped them to a 2-1 win.

Bottom side Stirling Albion went down to 10 men early, but it took a last-minute strike by Lewis Martin to rescue a 2-2 draw for Dunfermline Athletic.

Finally, Peterhead moved ahead of Airdrieonians in the table, courtesy of a 3-1 victory.

Results in full: Airdrieonians 1-3 Peterhead, Brechin City 2-1 Ayr United 1, Stenhousemuir 2-3 Greenock Morton, Stirling Albion 2-2 Dunfermline Athletic, Stranraer 4-2 Forfar Athletic.
