Wolverhampton Wanderers to bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder?

Wolves are reportedly interested in Sporting Lisbon midfielder Rodrigo Battaglia, who is expected to leave the club this summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keeping tabs on Sporting Lisbon midfielder Rodrigo Battaglia.

Wolves have been linked with several Primeira Liga players to bolster their squad this summer, with reported interest in Portugal stopper Rui Patricio and a confirmed season-long loan for Benfica forward Raul Jimenez.

TEAMtalk claims that Nuno Espirito Santo is eyeing up a move for Battaglia as the player could join several of his teammates in leaving Lisbon after disagreements with the president in the past month.

The report adds that West Ham United and Fulham are also interested in signing the 26-year-old.

Sporting players William Carvalho, Bas Dost and Patricio are also expected to depart the club after the World Cup.
