Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League North London derby with Tottenham Hotspur.

Having laid down an early marker in the Champions League, Arsenal seek to prolong their purple patch during Sunday's blockbuster North London derby with Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates.

In their first top-level European match since March 2017, the Gunners crushed PSV Eindhoven 4-0 on Wednesday thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard.

Prior to putting Peter Bosz's men to the sword, Mikel Arteta's side maintained their unbeaten start domestically by overcoming Everton 1-0, sneaking into the top four of the table in the process.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of their mouthwatering derby with Spurs, who have also taken 13 points from five games under Ange Postecoglou.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 24 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

While running through to score a goal which was later disallowed at Goodison Park, Gabriel Martinelli sustained a hamstring problem and was forced to miss the thumping of PSV. Arteta did not rule out a return for the Brazilian in Sunday's derby, but it would certainly be a surprise to see him feature here.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 21 (vs. Chelsea)

One year on from scoring a stunning opener against Spurs at the Emirates, Thomas Partey will not have the chance to replicate such heroics this weekend, as he is still facing a month or so out with a groin injury.

Jurrien Timber

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Jurrien Timber's Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest lasted a mere 50 minutes before he was taken off with a crushing ACL injury, which could keep him sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Arteta confirmed earlier this week that Mohamed Elneny is in the "latter stages" of his recovery from the knee operation he underwent in January, but the Egyptian will not be ready to make his return in the derby.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for the North London derby.
