Roberto Camarasa strike earns Levante point against Deportivo La Coruna

Levante come from behind to earn a point in their La Liga clash against Deportivo La Coruna as Roberto Camarasa cancels out Lucas Perez's first-half effort.

Roberto Camarasa scored a second-half equaliser to earn Levante a point in their La Liga clash against Deportivo La Coruna this evening.

After a quiet opening 15 minutes, Deportivo's Federico Cartabia created the first clear-cut chance of the match when he drove the ball towards the bottom corner but Ruben was on hand to keep the shot out.

However, midway through the first half, the visitors went ahead after Lucas Perez produced a brilliant finish into the corner after being played in by Jonas Gutierrez.

Levante had been second best, but they ended the opening half on the front foot, with Jefferson Lerma and Marti Roger both squandering opportunities.

Despite their frustration, Levante equalised eight minutes into the second half when Camarasa curled the ball into the corner from a free kick.

On the hour mark, Levante almost completed the turnaround but German Lux was alert to turn away a low shot from Jose Morales.

As the game entered the final quarter of an hour, both teams had chances to move in front, but neither Levante's Ruben Garcia or Deportivo's Perez could find a way through inside the penalty area.

Oriol Riera had the chance to win the game for the visitors when he latched on to a cross from Juanfran into the box, but he put his headed effort wide of the post.

Deportivo made another late surge to secure the three points, but the home side held out to secure a draw at the Ciudad de Valencia.

The result leaves Deportivo in eighth place, while Levante remain bottom of the table.
