Preview: Roma vs. Cagliari

Sports Mole previews this weekend's Serie A meeting between Roma and Cagliari.

Roma can make it three consecutive wins in Serie A when they take on Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

The Giallorossi have started the season in good form, with victories over Fiorentina and Empoli underlining their title credentials.

It is not just on the domestic front where they have impressed, as they recorded a 5-1 win over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Visiting Rome this weekend are a Cagliari side who are yet to win in the league this season.

They began their campaign by coming from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo, before falling to a 2-1 defeat against Atalanta BC.

Roma will be without Davide Astori and Juan Iturbe, who both picked up injuries against CSKA. Daniele De Rossi was suspended for that European tie and should return to the side, while Ashley Cole may be recalled in place of Vasilis Torosidis.

Meanwhile, Cagliari have no fresh injury concerns, with long-term absentee Sebastian Eriksson still ruled out.

Possible starting lineups

Roma: De Sanctis, Maicon, Manolas, Yanga-Mbiwa, Cole, Pjanic, De Rossi, Nainggolan, Florenzi, Totti, Gervinho

Cagliari: Colombi, Avelar, Rossettini, Ceppitelli, Balzano, Dessena, Conti, Ekdal, Cossu, Sau, Ibarbo

Sports Mole says: 2-0
