Liverpool reportedly give the green light for the sales of midfield duo Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool have reportedly given the green light for the sales of midfield duo Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi Arabia.

Fabinho has been left out of Liverpool's squad for their pre-season camp in Germany after learning of interest from Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad.

A recent report claims that the 29-year-old Brazil international has agreed personal terms with Al-Ittihad, who have submitted a £40m bid to Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Liverpool captain Henderson has attracted interest from Al-Ettifaq who are now managed by Reds legend Steven Gerrard.

The 33-year-old has been included in Jurgen Klopp's squad for their pre-season trip to Germany, but the midfielder is believed to have reached a verbal agreement to move to the Middle East.

According to Football Insider, the sale of both Fabinho and Henderson is imminent and Liverpool expect both players to officially depart the club at some stage this week after completing their medicals.

While the Reds are set to recoup £40m from Al-Ittihad for Fabinho, Henderson's valuation remains unknown, but the report claims that the England international has agreed a staggering £700,000-a-week salary to join Al-Ettifaq on a two-year deal.

It is thought that Liverpool will not let Henderson leave cheaply and could demand as much as £20m for the midfielder, who still has two years remaining on his contract at Anfield.

Henderson joined Liverpool from boyhood club Sunderland back in 2011 and played alongside Gerrard for three-and-a-half seasons before the latter called time on his legendary career at Anfield to join Los Angeles Galaxy in January 2015.

The midfielder, who was appointed Liverpool captain following Gerrard's departure, has contributed with 33 goals and 61 assists in 492 appearances for the Reds in all tournaments and has won eight trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.

Fabinho, meanwhile, arrived at Anfield from Monaco for £43.7m in the summer of 2018 and has since established himself as a reliable lynchpin in Klopp's midfield, albeit letting his standards somewhat slip last season.

The Brazilian is seemingly set to end his five-year association with the Reds, where he has chipped in with 11 goals and 10 assists in 219 games and has won a total of seven trophies.

While Fabinho is poised to become Al-Ittihad's fourth high-profile signing of the summer after Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Jota, Henderson is set to become Al-Ettifaq and Gerrard's first of the transfer window.

Liverpool have already seen James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita depart the club, and the midfield exodus could continue as Thiago Alcantara, like Henderson and Fabinho, has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia as well as Barcelona.
