Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly among a number of clubs chasing Atalanta BC midfielder Ederson ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal have all reportedly joined the race to sign Atalanta BC midfielder Ederson this summer.

The Brazilian is having a fine season in the centre of Atalanta's midfield, scoring six goals and playing an important role in their current six-game winning run that has seen them climb into the top four.

This is Ederson's second season in Bergamo, after joining from Salernitana in the summer of 2022, and he has been a regular ever since his arrival.

It was with Salernitana where Ederson garnered a growing reputation though, being a crucial cog in the side which miraculously escaped relegation against all odds in the 2021-22 season under Davide Nicola.

Just six months after the move from Corinthians, Ederson then made the switch to the Gewiss Arena, and his stock has continued to rise with La Dea.

Ederson was the shining light in the Atalanta side earlier in the campaign, winning the club's Player of the Month award in both October and November.

The midfielder's performances have unsurprisingly brought attention across Europe, with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming that Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal are all now interested in acquiring the player.

Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus were already said to be monitoring the player prior to the January transfer window, but those clubs could now face stiffer competition to win Ederson's signature.

After signing for €21m 18 months ago, Atalanta are now believed to value the 24-year-old closer to €40m, with that also likely to rise further if Atalanta qualify for the Champions League.

Gian Piero Gasperini's side currently sit fourth, level on points with Bologna but with a game in hand on the Rossoblu, leaving them as favourites to clinch a spot in the top four, with Roma also four points back.

Atalanta are renowned as one of the masters of turning players over for huge profits, and after selling Rasmus Hojlund to Man United over the summer for a large fee, they will be in no rush to sell any more key players.

That will be especially true if Juve continue their pursuit of fellow midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, but the club may be forced into selling one, while certainly hoping to avoid seeing both depart.

Ederson will next be in action when Atalanta travel to San Siro in the first of two clashes against the Milanese clubs in the space of four days, when they face AC Milan on Sunday night.
