Real Madrid are reportedly looking to offload Eden Hazard in order to fund a deal to recruit Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund next summer.

The Belgium international has endured a difficult two-year spell at the Santiago Bernabeu since joining from Chelsea, largely due to injury which has seen him spend several weeks on the sidelines.

Haaland, meanwhile, is considered a primary target for Los Blancos – along with Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe – and Spanish news outlet Sport claims that they are prepared to sell Hazard in order to generate funds for the potential signing of Dortmund's star striker.

Real will, however, likely face stern competition for Haaland's services, as the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in the 21-year-old.

Given that Hazard is susceptible to injury and that he turns 31 in January, Real Madrid are unlikely recoup a fee close to the £88m they paid the Blues in 2019.

However, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is understood to be interested in luring the winger back to London, with informal discussions having already taken place between himself and Florentino Perez.

Hazard, who still has three years remaining on his current contract, has played 51 times for Real across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing nine assists.
