Arsenal reportedly begin scouting Serie A duo Suso and Nicolo Barella as they search for replacements for the outgoing Aaron Ramsey.

Arsenal have reportedly begun scouting Serie A duo Suso and Nicolo Barella ahead of possible summer moves for the pair.

Suso currently plays for AC Milan, where he has rebuilt his career following an unsuccessful stint in England with Liverpool.

The Spaniard's form at San Siro has earned him a call-up to the national team as well as links with the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea, and Tuttomercato reports that Arsenal are also now monitoring the 25-year-old.

The same report claims that the Gunners have joined the race for Cagliari midfielder Barella, with whom Chelsea were also heavily linked during the January transfer window.

Arsenal are thought to see the 22-year-old Italy international as a possible replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who has agreed to join Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Cagliari want around €50m (£43.9m) for Barella, though, which would be beyond Arsenal's means during the summer window.
