How Germany could line up against Switzerland

Sports Mole looks at how Germany could line up in Tuesday's UEFA Nations League clash with Switzerland.

Germany will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League when they welcome Switzerland to Cologne on Tuesday night.

Joachim Low's side started their League A Group 4 campaign with back-to-back draws against Spain and Switzerland before recording a 2-1 victory over Ukraine on Saturday.

Die Mannschaft are currently second in the section, two points behind leaders Spain, who are in action away to Ukraine on the same night.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Germany could line up at RheinEnergieStadion.

POSS GER XI vs. SWI

Low is expected to stick with the bulk of the side that started against Ukraine, although the three players that came off the bench in Kiev could now feature in the starting XI.

Chelsea pair Timo Werner and Kai Havertz could both come into the side at the expense of Julian Draxler and Leon Goretzka, while Emre Can is likely to replace Matthias Ginter at the back.

Joshua Kimmich and Toni Kroos are expected to continue in the middle of the park, while Lukas Klostermann and Marcel Halstenberg should feature in the wing-back positions.

Manuel Neuer was not involved in the recent friendly with Turkey but played against Ukraine and will continue between the sticks for the home side.

Antonio Rudiger has struggled for football at Chelsea this season, but the 27-year-old is a key player for his national team and is expected to line up alongside Can and Niklas Sule in a defensive position.
