Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is reportedly stalling on the club's contract offer and will leave the club in the summer.

Antonio Conte is reportedly stalling on Tottenham Hotspur's contract offer and could be set to leave the club in the summer.

The Italian's current contract expires in the summer with the club having an option to extend it for another year.

However Sky Italy reports that Conte has asked Tottenham to put contract talks on standby and there is a feeling at the club that he will request a contract termination this summer.

Sky Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio said: "I think Conte's time at Tottenham will come to a close at the end of the season.

"This is partly because his contract is expiring, partly because he continues to send messages out to the club, partly because the club hasn't offered him a new deal, as they've understood that they aren't made for each other. They aren't right for each other."

The report states that the 53-year-old hopes to return to Italy in order to be closer to his family but has not asked to leave the club and is focused on the rest of the season with the Lilywhites.

Tottenham currently sit fifth in the Premier League after a run of one win in five matches, six points behind Manchester United, who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot.
