Gabriel Martinelli could reportedly seek an exit from Arsenal due to his lack of playing time under Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal starlet Gabriel Martinelli could look to secure a move away from the club given his lack of playing time, according to a report.

The Olympic gold medallist burst onto the scene under Unai Emery in the 2019-20 campaign, but injuries and competition for places have prevented from making such an impact under Mikel Arteta.

Martinelli's contract at Arsenal is not due to expire until the summer of 2024, but Arteta previously hinted that his lack of game time was down to attitude problems.

Now, The Mirror claims that Martinelli could attempt to head for the exit door if his situation does not change, and the 20-year-old would not be short of offers if he does decide to leave.

The report adds that Arsenal could elect to ship Martinelli out on loan to another top side in Europe, with the Gunners desperate to avoid the attacker running down his contract.

The 20-year-old boasts 12 goals and seven assists in 52 games for the Gunners across all competitions, but he has been an unused substitute in his side's last five Premier League games.
