Alphonso Davies's agent denies reports that the Bayern Munich left-back has verbally agreed to join Real Madrid this summer or as a free agent in 2025.

The agent of Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies has denied reports claiming that Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement to sign the Canada international.

Davies is now in the final 18 months of his contract with the German champions, whose efforts to tie him down to an extension beyond the summer of 2025 are still proving unsuccessful.

Davies's salary demands are apparently proving too steep for Bayern to bow to, and while the Bavarians still hope to keep him around, they will entertain offers if negotiations do not lead to a positive solution.

As talks with Thomas Tuchel's men stall, it was reported that Davies had already verbally agreed a switch to Real Madrid, who would either sign him for a nominal fee this summer or as a free agent in 2025.

However, speaking to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the left-back's representative Nedal Huoseh insisted that there is nothing set in stone with Real Madrid or any other interested party, and Davies's future will not be decided until the summer.

"There is nothing agreed or concrete with any club. Alphonso's focus at this time is FC Bayern. We will consider all our options for the future in the next months," Househ said.

Should Davies indeed push for a move to the Bernabeu this summer, Real Madrid would be forced to negotiate a fee with their German counterparts and are reportedly ready to table a bid of £43m for the Canadian's services.

While Davies is believed to be prioritising a transfer to Real Madrid, Premier League duo Manchester City and Chelsea have also been tipped to make an approach, while Barcelona are said to be monitoring the situation too.

Bayern poached the 23-year-old from Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2019, since when he has registered nine goals and 28 assists in 182 matches for the German champions in all competitions.

Davies has 13 major honours to his name from his time at the Allianz Arena, including one Champions League crown, one Club World Cup and five Bundesliga titles, and he has amassed one goal and three assists from 29 matches in the current campaign.

While Bayern are yet to give up hope of prolonging Davies's stay, the German giants are now believed to be eyeing potential successors to the Canada international, including AC Milan's Theo Hernandez.

Liverpool's Andrew Robertson is believed to have emerged as a surprise contender too, but the Reds do not expect the Scotland international to depart and will be expected to reject any offers that arrive this summer.

Davies's proposed move to Real Madrid would see him compete with Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy for left-back starts, and as is the case with the 23-year-old, Mendy's contract also runs out in the summer of 2025.

The 28-year-old's time in the Spanish capital has been blighted by injuries, but he played the full 90 in Wednesday's 1-1 Champions League last-16 second-leg draw with RB Leipzig, which sent Los Blancos through 2-1 on aggregate.
