Manchester City reportedly join the race to sign Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig, with Manchester United and Barcelona also interested in the Spaniard.

Manchester City have joined the race to sign Dani Olmo, according to a report.

Manchester United and Barcelona have both been linked with the RB Leipzig midfielder, who represented Spain at the European Championships in the summer.

Olmo was in Barca's academy between 2007 and 2014, but the Spanish club may lack the finances to afford to re-sign him.

Bild journalist Christian Falk said: "Manchester United have had scouts watching Olmo at practically every recent home game.

"Of course, we have to be careful, because local rivals Manchester City also have him on their books. You can imagine that Pep Guardiola will also like him because he would fit perfectly into the team's system."

Olmo, 23, has only made three appearances for RB Leipzig this season due to a muscle injury.
