Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Fresh from advancing to the knockout stages of the Champions League, Premier League leaders Arsenal return to top-flight action on Saturday, as Wolverhampton Wanderers take to the Emirates turf.

Mikel Arteta's men cruised through to the last 16 of Europe's premier tournament as Group B winners with a game to spare thanks to a 6-0 obliteration of Lens, who conceded five to the rampant Gunners inside the opening 45 minutes of Wednesday's game.

Arsenal's Champions League crushing succeeded a nervy 1-0 win over Brentford, where a late Kai Havertz header propelled the North London giants above Liverpool and Manchester City to the summit on 30 points from 13 matches.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Wolves, who were left to bemoan more contentious officiating decisions to go against them in a 3-2 loss to Fulham on Monday night.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 28 (vs. West Ham United)

Emile Smith Rowe has spent the past few weeks working his way back from a thigh injury, and Arteta has conceded that the Englishman only has a slim chance of returning before the New Year.

Jurrien Timber

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Jurrien Timber's Premier League debut lasted just under 50 minutes as the Dutchman picked up a severe ACL injury, which could rule him out for the remainder of the season.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: December 28 (vs. West Ham United)

Thomas Partey was forced to undergo an operation to treat a niggling thigh injury, and as is the case with Smith Rowe, the Ghana international is unlikely to return until late December or early January in the best-case scenario.

Fabio Vieira

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Fabio Vieira - who is also serving a domestic suspension - has also gone under the knife to treat a groin problem, and Arteta revealed earlier this week that the 23-year-old would spend "weeks" recovering.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

As mentioned, the stricken Vieira will technically serve the second of a three-game ban on Saturday due to his red card against Burnley, but Arsenal have no fit players suspended for this encounter.
