Aston Villa winger Moussa Diaby is passed fit to start against Wolverhampton Wanderers in Sunday's Premier League fixture at Molineux.

Aston Villa winger Moussa Diaby has been passed fit to start against Wolverhampton Wanderers in Sunday's Premier League fixture.

With the summer arrival having missed the Europa Conference League encounter against Zrinjski Mostar earlier this week, he was a natural doubt for the West Midlands derby at Molineux.

However, the France international has been included in the final third in one of six changes made by Unai Emery.

With three centre-backs in Ezri Konsa, Diego Carlos and Pau Torres having been selected, it appears that Villa will start with a 3-4-2-1 formation.

That would see Matty Cash and Lucas Digne used at wing-back, with John McGinn in line to be used as one of two attack-minded players - the other being Diaby - behind Ollie Watkins.

Clement Lenglet, Leander Dendoncker, Youri Tielemans, Leon Bailey, Nicolo Zaniolo and Jhon Duran have all dropped down to the substitutes' bench.

Meanwhile, Gary O'Neil has stuck with the same Wolves XI that started last weekend's 2-1 victory over champions Manchester City.

The only change comes on the substitutes' bench with Tommy Doyle, who was ineligible to face parent club Man City, named ahead of Joe Hodge.

Wolverhampton Wanderers: Sa; Dawson, Kilman, Toti; Semedo, Gomes, Lemina, Ait-Nouri; Hwang, Cunha, Neto

Subs: Bentley, Doherty, S. Bueno, Traore, Silva, Kalajdzic, Jonny, Doyle, Sarabia

Aston Villa: Martinez; Konsa, Carlos, Torres; Cash, Kamara, Luiz, Digne; McGinn, Diaby; Watkins

Subs: Olsen, Tielemans, Traore, Chambers, Lenglet, Zaniolo, Duran, Bailey, Dendoncker
